Allegany Co-op Mutual Insurance Company

On April 3, 1887, our company was officially organized by a group of 15 farmer directors as the “Allegany County Farmers’ Co-operative Fire Insurance Company”. Organized on a post assessment basis meant that losses were paid with borrowed money, and then premium assessments were passed on to policyholders. In 1943, the company changed to collecting an advanced premium assessment, allowing the company to pay for losses with cash on hand and build a reserve of surplus.

Conemaugh Valley Mutual Insurance Company

Organized on February 2, 1877, as Cambria Farmers Union Association of Cambria and Somerset Counties, the Company was formed to offer farmers affordable fire and lightning protection. In 1890, the Company was incorporated as Conemaugh Valley Mutual Insurance Company. Since its 2007 affiliation with Allegany Co-op, Conemaugh Valley has shared a Board of Directors and staff with Allegany. The Conemaugh affiliation gives Allegany a strong presence in Pennsylvania!

United Frontier Mutual Insurance Company

United Frontier is licensed as an Advanced Premium Cooperative Insurance Company and is domiciled in the State of New York and has been actively operating since February 19, 1878. Our home office is located at 195 Davison Road in Lockport, New York 14094-3333. United Frontier specializes in Commercial lines of Business In 2023 United Frontier Mutual Insurance started it's affiliation with Allegany. This allows Allegany Insurance Group to offer a wider range of products to our New York customers!
